About the spot

The southern coast of Barbados is known for its Silver Rock and Long Beach beaches. The trip here is more like a sea kite vacation than training in a perfectly flat lagoon. On the water, work with the wave and confident exit through the surf are important. But after kitesurfing, there is a whole island with beaches, local food and calm routes. Choose a school for a specific place of lessons, not on the promise of “fits all”.

What to pay attention to

Discuss conditions for your level: negotiating shorebreak and riding waves offshore are different skills.

How to plan the road

Grantley Adams Airport is in the south of the island; arrange a transfer to the school.

Before paying, check with the receiving team the place of study and the nearest comfortable accommodation. “Hotel by the sea” and “hotel by the kite zone” do not always mean the same thing.

Where is it?

The marker shows the area, not the exact launch point. Find the station address and permitted area at the school.

Questions before travel

How to choose the time of the trip?

November-June, according to the school, is a reference point for planning. Before paying, confirm the season at the local school and check the forecast for travel dates.

What to ask the school before booking?

Where the lessons are held, what the size of the group is, whether the equipment is included, what language is taught and how the rescue on the water is organized.
