About the spot
The kite geography of northern Madagascar includes Sakalava Bay and the Emerald Sea. These are different places, with different logistics and nature of the water. The landscape and local teams are attractive here, but a pre-arranged transfer is especially important. The station will help you choose the water area, explain the features of the tide and solve everyday issues that at the usual European spot seem self-evident.
What to pay attention to
Confirm the exact beach, rescue, tides and included transfers. Sakalava does not describe conditions across the whole island.
How to plan the road
Plan your arrival in the northern part of the island and coordinate the last part of the journey with the lodge.
Before paying, check with the receiving team the place of study and the nearest comfortable accommodation. “Hotel by the sea” and “hotel by the kite zone” do not always mean the same thing.
Where is it?
The marker shows the area, not the exact launch point. Find the station address and permitted area at the school.
Questions before travel
How to choose the time of the trip?
Wind season to clarify at the base - a reference point for planning. Before paying, confirm the season at the local school and check the forecast for travel dates.
What to ask the school before booking?
Where the lessons are held, what the size of the group is, whether the equipment is included, what language is taught and how the rescue on the water is organized.
