A desert, a long lagoon and a vacation where almost everything is connected with the wind.

About the spot

In Dakhla, they live in camps by the water: they woke up, looked at the lagoon, chose the time of exit. This is convenient if the main goal is kiteing, not city walks. Coasts and camps differ in access, depth and wind direction. Ocean trips give a different nature of kitesurfing, but require separate planning. When choosing a camp, ask not only about the number, but about the rescue, the distance to the start and the conditions at low tide.

What to pay attention to

Compare individual camps: a photo of the whole lagoon does not describe conditions beside your accommodation.

How to plan the road

Arrival - Dakhla airport; transfer to the camp is usually agreed in advance.

Before paying, check with the receiving team the place of study and the nearest comfortable accommodation. “Hotel by the sea” and “hotel by the kite zone” do not always mean the same thing.

Where is it?

The marker shows the area, not the exact launch point. Find the station address and permitted area at the school.

Questions before travel

How to choose the time of the trip?

Often choose spring-autumn - a reference point for planning. Before paying, confirm the season at the local school and check the forecast for travel dates.

What to ask the school before booking?

Where the lessons are held, what the size of the group is, whether the equipment is included, what language is taught and how the rescue on the water is organized.
