Passate directions attract repeatability of wind. The Brazilian coast and the Caribbean are often chosen for seasonal reasons. But the region's overall reputation does not describe every beach: the relief, tide and local effects remain important.
Thermal wind
In Akyak and many Mediterranean spots, warming affects the daytime wind. Morning calm does not always describe the whole day. It is better to ask the school how the situation usually develops here than to focus on one digit in the app.
Monsoon period
For Thailand and Vietnam, it is not just the word “winter” that matters, but a specific month and coast. In Park Nam Prana, schools have different wind periods. The orientation of the beach changes the utility of the same destination.
What to check before leaving
Compare several forecasts, wind direction, gusts, precipitation and local observations. Find out the tide and discuss the shore with an instructor. The size of the kite is chosen for actual conditions, weight, board and skills, and not for the general description of the season.
